Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for boats from 17 to 24 meters, the Sleipner E210 210kg 24V bow thruster provides a precise and quiet maneuvering solution. This electric thruster integrates a six-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), specifically developed for marine applications. This brushless technology ensures constant torque, rapid response, and lower operating temperatures, thereby extending the system's autonomy and lifespan.
PRO™ variable speed control and advanced maneuvering
The Sleipner E210 is equipped with an integrated inverter enabling PRO™ variable speed control. This feature eliminates the noise of traditional on/off thrusters and allows proportional maneuvers with high precision. The integrated "Hold" function simplifies docking by allowing the boat to be held alongside the quay with a single press, which is particularly useful for reduced crew maneuvers. With a thrust of 210 kg at 24V and an output power of 10.4 kW (14.0 hp), this thruster is suitable for both bow and stern installations on vessels.
Optimized design and simplified integration
The Sleipner E210 stands out with its Q-Prop™ five-blade skewed propeller, which reduces noise levels by 20 to 40% in real-world conditions and up to 75% in controlled tests, without compromising efficiency. Its design is up to 50% lighter and 40% more compact than traditional DC models, simplifying installation and contributing to better weight distribution on board. The S-LINK™ system, based on CAN, ensures reliable communication and simplified installation thanks to compact, waterproof plugs and color-coded connectors. The E210 thruster is also CE/UKCA certified and compliant with ISO 8846 for ignition protection.
Reliability and reduced maintenance
This thruster features overheat protection that adjusts power to maintain safe temperatures, ensuring continuous operation at 100% thrust at 22 °C, subject to battery capacity. Galvanic protection isolates submerged parts from stray currents, and the gearcase is pre-filled and sealed for lifetime lubrication. The brushless and commutator-free motor, combined with the absence of reversing relays, minimizes maintenance requirements. Installation is flexible, allowing mounting at any angle in a tunnel with a 250 mm internal diameter. An ANL 500 fuse is recommended for circuit protection.
