Unmatched energy density for marine applications
The Solid State Marine 12V 600Ah service and starting battery represents a true technological breakthrough for onboard energy systems. Unlike traditional lithium-ion batteries, this battery uses solid electrolyte cells. This design delivers exceptional capacity of 600 Ah (8640 Wh) in a standard Group 8D footprint. Weighing only 38.5 kg, it is half the weight of a conventional lithium battery and up to six times lighter than an equivalent lead-acid battery bank, offering critical weight savings for workboats and pleasure craft.
Extreme discharge performance and versatility
Designed for mixed use, this battery serves both as a service battery and a starting battery. With a continuous discharge current of 250 A and a cold-cranking capacity equivalent to 1000 CCA, it can start high-displacement marine engines while powering bow thrusters, winches, and onboard electronics. The integrated battery management system (BMS) allows discharge peaks up to 500 A for 60 seconds and provides short-circuit protection of 1000 A in 2 milliseconds. Compared to other models in the range, this 600 Ah version offers the largest energy reserve in Solid State Marine's 12V series.
Absolute safety and network integration
The absence of liquid electrolyte eliminates any risk of leakage, thermal runaway, or fire, ensuring total safety even in the event of physical cell damage. IP67 certified for resistance to the harshest marine environments, it operates optimally between -20°C and 65°C and allows charging from -20°C. Multiple communication options (Bluetooth, NMEA 2000, CAN, RS-485, or Victron integration) enable precise state-of-charge monitoring directly on multifunction displays or via smartphone. This battery delivers over 3000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge.
