It enables clear and reliable communication, even in demanding environments. This compact external microphone provides a practical solution for operators requiring increased flexibility when using their radio equipment.
Compatibility and Integration
The SSM-17H is specifically designed to integrate with the Standard Horizon HX320E radio. It ensures a stable connection and optimized audio performance. The 2 kΩ microphone impedance (a feature of the HX320E) guarantees faithful voice transmission. Its compact design makes it easy to handle and store on board.
Functionality and Ergonomics
As a microphone, the SSM-17H allows you to transmit and receive communications without directly manipulating the radio, which is particularly useful when the radio is mounted or stored. It improves usability ergonomics and safety at sea, offering a practical alternative to the radio’s built-in microphone.
