This 24 V, 8 A model features an IP67 rating, ensuring complete protection against water, oil, and dust. Its die-cast aluminum housing and fully encapsulated electronic components in resin provide shock resistance and protection against ignition, making it suitable for the harshest conditions aboard.
Performance and energy efficiency
With an efficiency of 96%, the Blue Smart IP67 Charger 24/8(1) minimizes energy losses, producing three to four times less heat than conventional chargers. Its standby power consumption is less than 0.5 W once the battery is fully charged, optimizing autonomy and reducing energy costs. It integrates a 5-stage adaptive charging algorithm (bulk, absorption, reconditioning, float, storage) that optimizes the process based on battery use, extending its lifespan.
Smart features and connectivity
This charger is equipped with Bluetooth Smart technology, enabling remote control and monitoring via the VictronConnect app from a smartphone or tablet. Users can view voltage, charging current, adjust settings, and update firmware. The storage mode reduces float voltage to 26.4 V for 24 V batteries to minimize gassing and corrosion, with weekly equalization to prevent stratification and sulfation. It can charge Li-ion batteries with a specific algorithm (bulk, absorption, float) and includes a recovery function for fully discharged batteries, even at zero volts. The charger is also protected against overheating, reducing output current beyond 40 °C to operate up to 60 °C without failure.
