Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed to optimize battery charging from solar panels, the VICTRON ENERGY BlueSolar MPPT 100/30 charge controller uses ultra-fast MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology. This technology ensures maximum energy recovery by continuously adjusting the voltage and current parameters of the photovoltaic panel for conversion efficiency up to 98%. The charge controller is compatible with 12 V and 24 V battery systems, with automatic system voltage selection, and supports a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 100 V.
Performance and features
The BlueSolar MPPT 100/30 delivers a maximum charging current of 30 A to the battery. It integrates a multi-stage adaptive charging algorithm (bulk, absorption, float, adjustable equalization) to extend the lifespan of lead-acid or lithium batteries. Absorption voltages (14.4 V/28.8 V) and float voltages (13.8 V/27.6 V) are configurable, as is the equalization voltage (16.2 V/28.8 V). Temperature compensation of -16 mV/°C for 12 V and -32 mV/°C for 24 V is also included for precise charging.
Installation and environment
This solar charge controller features 16 mm² / AWG6 power terminals and weighs 1.3 kg. Its compact dimensions are 130 x 186 x 70 mm (h x w x d). It offers IP43 protection for electronic components, protecting against tools and water splashes, and IP22 for the connection area. The charge controller operates in a temperature range of -30 to +60 °C, maintaining its nominal output power up to 40 °C. Standby power consumption is 30 mA at 12 V and 20 mA at 24 V. Battery fuses between 35 A and 40 A are recommended for system protection.
