Designed for simplified installation, the Victron Energy Lithium SuperPack 12.8V/60Ah (M6) battery is a LiFePO4 power solution integrating a battery management system (BMS) and a safety switch. This 12.8 V model provides a nominal capacity of 60 Ah at 25 °C (48 Ah at 0 °C) and a nominal energy of 768 Wh, with threaded M6 connection terminals.
Performance and Durability
The SuperPack 12.8V/60Ah battery stands out for its energy efficiency, delivering a round-trip efficiency of 92 %, compared to 80 % for lead-acid batteries. Its lifespan is estimated at 2,500 cycles at 80 % depth of discharge (DoD) and 25 °C, with capacity and energy loss below 1 % per 100 cycles. The integrated BMS protects against excessive discharge, overcharging, and extreme temperatures (automatic disconnection for charging below 0 °C and discharging below -20 °C), contributing to its longevity and reliability. This battery is a robust alternative to lead-acid batteries, especially in deficit operation or partial charging conditions, which do not affect the lifespan of Li-ion batteries.
