Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for water management on board, the Whale Mk5 white manual bilge pump (BP0535) is a versatile solution for manual pumping and dewatering. It can be used to empty wastewater tanks, toilets, bilges, as well as to transfer seawater or diesel.
Installation and flexibility
This Mk5 model is specifically designed for under-deck mounting (BP0535), offering a discreet and functional integration. Installation involves drilling one large hole and eight small holes for 6 mm flat-head screws, with a rubber gasket positioned above the pump base. The pump head can be rotated 360 degrees (in 1/8 increments) to adapt to space constraints. To optimize installation options, the flow direction is reversible by disassembling and reassembling the eight assembly screws.
Performance and design
The Mk5 pump delivers a flow rate of up to 66 liters per minute. At a rate of 45 strokes per minute, it displaces approximately 42 liters of water, and up to 66 liters per minute at 70 strokes per minute. It can achieve a maximum suction height of 4.5 meters and a maximum discharge height of 4.5 meters. The inlet and outlet connections are sized for 38 mm (1-1/2") hoses. Its design features a diaphragm.
Materials and maintenance
The pump body is made of robust and lightweight polypropylene, with components in acetal, nitrile, and stainless steel for parts in contact with fluids. The diaphragms, valves, and seals are made of nitrile, while the handle is made of acetal and glass-reinforced nylon. These materials ensure resistance to the marine environment. The pump is equipped with anti-clogging valves and a fully protected diaphragm. An inspection port, accessible without tools, facilitates cleaning and removal of blockages. Anti-odor seals are integrated to contain fumes during sanitary use.
Certifications and reliability
The Whale Mk5 pump is covered by a 5-year warranty. It complies with ISO15083 standards, making it compliant with ISO15083 for manual bilge pumps.
