Detailed description
Detailed description
The Whale SB4222 side-entry check strainer is designed for efficient bilge drainage, particularly in shallow bilges. This essential component protects bilge pumps from debris and ensures optimal water discharge.
Protection and performance
Made from durable black plastic, the SB4222 strainer includes a non-return valve. This valve prevents water from flowing back into the bilge once the pump is stopped, providing continuous protection against flooding. Its side-entry design is specifically suited to shallow bilge configurations, allowing flexible installation and effective suction even at low water levels.
Installation and maintenance
Compatible with 25 mm (1") and 38 mm (1-1/2") pipes, and potentially 19 mm, this strainer fits a variety of marine plumbing installations. It can be used with manual and electric pumps, including the Gulper 320. The removable filter screen makes quick cleaning and maintenance easy, ensuring the pumping system remains free of debris and operates at peak efficiency. Manufactured in the UK, it features compact dimensions and low weight for easy integration aboard.
