Designed for marine communication, the fiber VHF antenna AC ANTENNAS CELmar3-10 provides a reliable communication solution. It covers marine VHF frequencies (156.0-162.5 MHz), FM (88-108 MHz), and DAB (160-250 MHz), with a maximum power of 100 W for the VHF band. This lightweight omnidirectional antenna features a gain of 3 dBd (5.15 dBi), ensuring extended communication range.
Design and durability
The CELmar3-10 antenna measures 2.70 meters in length and weighs 0.90 kg. Its fiberglass construction with brass radiating elements protects against galvanic corrosion. The crimping technology used in its manufacturing enhances robustness. It is designed to withstand demanding marine conditions, with an IP66 protection rating and wind resistance up to 55 m/s (124 mph). Its operating temperature range is from -40 to +60 °C.
Integration and performance
With a nominal impedance of 50 Ohm and a VSWR below 1.5:1 for the VHF band, this antenna ensures efficient signal transmission. It comes with a 6-meter RG58C/U cable. The mounting base features a 1" 14TPI female ferrule, allowing direct installation on compatible AC Antennas threaded mounts (mount not included; the N285F 2-axis swivel is an optional accessory). The CELmar3-10 stands out from shorter models like the AC-CELmar4 (1.26 m, 3 dBd) due to its length, optimizing communication range.
