Its alphanumeric display provides clear status information and allows programming of up to seven characters per memory channel for easy identification. Operation is simplified by two large knobs for memory and frequency control. It includes RF gain control and an audio-activated squelch. Terminals are available for frequency and mode control via an NMEA interface, and direct channel selection is possible via a keypad. A large front-mounted speaker is included, and the unit is compatible with weather fax. Operating temperature range is -30°C to +60°C, with performance guaranteed between -20°C and +60°C.
