Detailed description
Detailed description
The ECHONAUTICS BT70M600-18 transducer is a CHIRP through-hull designed for accurate depth detection. With a 600 W output, it operates on a middle frequency band of 80 to 130 kHz, providing clear details on bottom structure and fish detection.
CHIRP Sonar Performance
This ready-to-use CHIRP model delivers a beam width of 26" to 16" @ 3 dB, allowing effective coverage of the seabed. Its penetration depth reaches a maximum of 274 meters (900 feet). Bottom coverage at different depths is optimized, with a beam diameter of 5 m at 10 m depth, 23 m at 50 m, 46 m at 100 m, and 69 m at 150 m.
Design and Installation
The BT70M600-18 is a bronze through-hull transducer with a fixed 18° tilt angle. This tilt is suited to hulls with a deadrise angle of 16° to 24°, ensuring optimal beam orientation for consistent sonar performance. The bronze housing ensures durability in marine environments. Installation requires a 62 mm (2.44 in) hull bore for a 60 mm (2.36 in) thread. The transducer includes a 9-meter (29.5 ft) cable with a standard 8-pin male connector.
