Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for integrating existing or custom transducers, the Garmin bare-wire transducer/12-pin fishfinder adapter (part number 010-11613-10) allows connecting a Garmin 12-pin fishfinder to a wide range of transducers. This adapter is compatible with bare-wire transducers, as well as Garmin and Airmar transducers with 12, 8, or 6 pins, providing a versatile solution for fishfinder installations and system upgrades.
Compatibility and technical features
This adapter is specifically designed for Garmin fishfinders with a 12-pin connector. It ensures extended compatibility with all Garmin CV and GT series fishfinders with 12-pin connectors, as well as all Garmin GT fishfinders with 8-pin connectors. For Airmar transducers, it supports numerous bare-wire and 8-pin models (e.g., B41, B60, B75, P19, P66, P79, SS60, TM150, B117, B150, B164, SS164, B175, B258, B260, M260). It provides a structured terminal block for transducer conductors, including key functions such as shielding/ground, positive temperature, Garmin transducer identification (GID) and Airmar identification (XID), as well as right/low depth, low/high depth, and left channels.
Installation and system integration
The adapter comes with a 61 cm (24 inch) cable to facilitate connection to the fishfinder port. Installation requires mounting in a protected location, at least 15.25 cm (6 inches) away from any electrical interference sources such as an engine, and must not be submerged. For transducers without an integrated temperature sensor, an external temperature sensor can be connected via a dedicated nut on the bottom of the housing. The adapter cover is secured by four Phillips captive screws, ensuring a reliable connection of the transducer wires to the internal terminal block.
