Detailed description
Detailed description
The Alpha Compact 14/200 alternator from Mastervolt is the ultimate solution for high-energy demands onboard. Designed specifically for demanding marine environments, it delivers a powerful nominal current of 200 A at 12 V, ensuring rapid charging of your battery banks, whether they are lead-acid (acid, gel, AGM) or lithium-ion. Unlike standard alternators that require high engine speeds, the Alpha Compact provides exceptional output even at low speeds (generation speed at 1350 rpm), making it ideal for harbor maneuvers or extended anchoring.
Alpha Pro III charge regulator included
This model comes standard with the intelligent Alpha Pro III charge regulator, which optimizes the process through its three-stage charging algorithm (Bulk, Absorption, Float). It automatically adjusts the voltage (up to 14.25 V in Bulk and Absorption) and compensates for temperature (-30 mV/°C at 12 V) thanks to the supplied battery temperature sensor. This preserves the lifespan of your batteries while maximizing energy efficiency. Additionally, its full integration with the MasterBus network allows for advanced monitoring and configuration from a display or centralized system.
Robust design and thermal performance
Equipped with a patented magnetic design and optimized cooling, the Alpha Compact 14/200 alternator supports a maximum operating temperature of 120 °C. With a compact weight of 7.5 kg and a power input of 5.6 kW (7.6 HP), it fits perfectly into compact engine compartments. Its ability to withstand rotation speeds up to 20,000 rpm makes it an extremely reliable and durable piece of equipment compared to standard Alpha models, positioning it as a top choice for demanding sailors.
