Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed to facilitate the integration of Mastervolt equipment from earlier generations, the MasterBus serial interface (reference 77030450) from MASTERVOLT is an essential component for modernizing onboard energy systems. This interface acts as a communication bridge, making data from conventional Mastervolt products permanently available on the MasterBus network for centralized configuration, operation, and monitoring via an EasyView 5 display or a PC.
Integration and compatibility
The MasterBus serial interface is suitable for connecting a specific range of Mastervolt devices, including Masterlink BTM-III monitors, Mac and Magic DC-DC converters, as well as Mass Combi combiners and Mass Charger chargers. This compatibility ensures that existing systems can be integrated without requiring a complete replacement of functional equipment. Unlike generic solutions, this interface is specifically optimized for the Mastervolt protocol, guaranteeing reliable communication and precise management of energy data.
Technical specifications and positioning
With compact dimensions of 66 x 78 x 32 mm (2.6 x 3.1 x 1.3 inches) and a lightweight of approximately 0.08 kg, the MasterBus serial interface is easily integrated into various environments. Its IP21 protection rating makes it suitable for installation in protected areas, where it can operate from 0 to 40 °C. Its low power consumption of 144 mW minimizes its impact on the overall energy balance. It is important to note that this interface does not provide power to the MasterBus network. It complies with the harmonized standards EN 50081-1:1992, EN 50082-1:1997, and EN 60950:2000. The shipment includes the interface, a serial connection cable, a MasterBus cable, a MasterBus termination device, and a user manual. By acting as a gateway between older-generation serial devices and the CAN-bus-based MasterBus network, it allows Mastervolt users to extend the lifespan of their equipment while benefiting from the advantages of a modern, unified energy management system.
