Detailed description
Designed as the latest generation of communication center and system controller, the Victron Energy Ekrano GX offers centralized management of energy installations. This device, successor to the Color Control GX, features a 7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1000 cd/m², dynamically adjustable via an ambient light sensor or manually. The touch function can be disabled with a button to prevent unauthorized manipulation.
Connectivity and advanced management
The Ekrano GX is equipped with a powerful processor and runs on the intuitive Venus OS operating system, ensuring efficient management of Victron and third-party connected devices. It has three isolated VE.Direct ports, an isolated VE.Bus bus with two parallel RJ45 sockets, and two VE.Can ports (one isolated, one non-isolated). Network connectivity is provided by an Ethernet port, integrated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth Smart for initial setup. Two USB-A ports (max. 1.5A combined) and a MicroSD slot (up to 32GB) complete its interfacing capabilities.
System integration and control
This controller features two programmable NO/NC relays (30VDC/3A, 125VAC/1A) for functions such as alarms or generator start/stop. It also includes three inputs for resistive tank level probes (compatible with Europe 0-180 Ohm or US 240-30 Ohm), two temperature inputs (-20°C to +70°C), and two digital inputs for status monitoring or pulse counting. Power is supported across a voltage range of 8 to 70V DC, with a consumption of 6.2W at 100% screen brightness (at 12V) and 2.6W with the screen off (at 12V). The Ekrano GX provides an instant overview of system status, energy consumption, and production, and offers remote management via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal or the VictronConnect app. Its robust design with an aluminum housing and front protection rated IP54 (with steel bracket) or IP31 (with clips) makes it suitable for an operating temperature range of -20°C to +50°C. All necessary mounting materials are included.
